Some workshops are about learning a skill. Others are about slowing down, laughing a little, and remembering how good it feels to make something with your hands. Our Fuse and Fizz events are very much the latter – joyful, welcoming afternoons where creativity, community and a touch of sparkle come together.
Designed to be relaxed and sociable, these events are perfect whether you’re coming along with friends, treating yourself to a solo afternoon out, or gifting an experience to someone special.
With a glass (or two) of fizz in hand, gentle guidance throughout, and no previous experience needed, Fuse and Fizz is about enjoyment first – the glass just happens to be beautiful too.
If you’ve ever wondered what to expect from one of these events, here’s a closer look at what makes them so special.
A Creative Space That Feels Instantly Welcoming
From the moment you arrive, Fuse and Fizz is designed to feel friendly and unpressured. There’s no intimidating studio atmosphere, no expectation to already know what you’re doing. Instead, you’re greeted with a warm welcome, a drink to help you settle in, and a table ready for creativity.

Each event takes place at Scotton Village Hall, with plenty of parking and a relaxed, comfortable setting that encourages conversation and connection. Whether you come on your own or with others, you’ll quickly feel part of the group – many people say it feels more like a creative get-together than a formal workshop.
Why Fuse and Fizz Is So Good for Wellbeing
These events aren’t just about making glass – they’re about how the process makes you feel.
Working with glass is naturally mindful. Choosing colours, placing shapes, and focusing on your design draws your attention into the moment. It gives your mind a break from busy thoughts and everyday pressures, which is why so many people describe the experience as calming and restorative.
Add to that the social side – chatting, laughing, and sharing a table with others – and you have an activity that gently supports mental health without ever feeling like ‘work’. There’s no pressure to perform or compare. Everyone’s piece will be different, and that’s very much part of the joy.
For many, Fuse and Fizz becomes a small but meaningful act of self-care.
Petals & Fizz – Saturday 7th February 2026
Taking place on Saturday 7th February 2026, 2.00–4.00pm, Petals & Fizz is a cheerful winter lift just when it’s needed most. During this event, you’ll create your own fused glass Petal & Pot scene, guided step by step in a relaxed, supportive way.

With two glasses of fizz included (non-alcoholic options available), this session is perfect for a winter catch-up, a gentle creative reset, or even a Valentine-adjacent treat. You’ll also have the option to decorate your pot with a red heart, making it especially fitting if you’re gifting the workshop to someone you love – or simply celebrating yourself.
Tickets are limited to just 10 places, ensuring plenty of space, guidance, and a calm atmosphere where everyone feels supported.
Sakura Blossoms – Saturday 7th March 2026
The Sakura Blossoms event takes place on Saturday 7th March 2026, 2.00–4.00pm, and offers a beautiful nod to renewal and fresh beginnings. Inspired by blossoming trees, this workshop invites you to design your own Sakura Blossoms glass panel, using soft tones or bolder colours depending on your style.

Although pink blossoms are traditional, you’re encouraged to experiment – your tree can feature any colour palette that speaks to you. Once fired, your finished panel will be returned with an oak stand, ready for display.
Like all Fuse and Fizz events, the session includes two glasses of fizz, a warm welcome, and a relaxed pace. It’s a lovely choice for anyone who enjoys nature-inspired designs or wants a creative moment to mark the change of seasons.
Again, places are limited to 10 participants, keeping the experience intimate and friendly.
Autumn Glow – Fuse & Fizz
Autumn Glow brings warmth, richness and colour into the room, whatever the weather outside. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with a smile, your fizz, and everything you need to design your own Autumn Glow scene.

This event is all about letting your imagination roam free. Whether you’re drawn to fiery tones, subtle textures, or bold contrasts, you’ll be supported throughout the design process. The atmosphere is relaxed and encouraging, making it a wonderful choice if you’re feeling curious, creative, or simply in need of a joyful escape.
After the event, your piece will be kiln-fired and ready to collect within seven days, complete with a stand for displaying your finished work.
A New Skill Without Pressure
One of the most appealing things about Fuse and Fizz is that it introduces glass fusing in a way that feels accessible and fun. You’re learning something new, but without the intensity of a traditional class. There’s space to ask questions, try things out, and enjoy the process without worrying about the outcome.
Many people attend one event and then return for another, drawn back by the combination of creativity, community and calm. Others treat it as a standalone experience – a single afternoon that leaves them feeling lighter and more inspired than when they arrived.
